Steve Pope Safaris

Semi-participatory Camping, Bushwalking, & Canoe Safaris

Steve Pope Canoe Safaris - canoe safaris cancelled for 2011

(3 nights/4 days departs every Sunday of the year – max 9)

This safari has proved to be the most popular on the Zambezi River as it is an

adventurous way for the visitor to see the world-renowned Mana Pools National Park.

Our safari, which is a 'client participation' safari, starts on a Sunday and the vehicle

leaves Kariba early in the morning, stopping at the various hotels to collect clients. Our

last pick-up point is Clouds End Hotel, Makuti (76km from Kariba on the Harare/Chirundu road). The canoes are launched at Chirundu and Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights are spent on islands on the Zambezi River designated by National Parks. On Wednesday morning the clients are met at Nyamepi Camp, Mana Pools by our vehicle. We drive back to Kariba or transfer to Chitake for the Tented camp/ bushwalking safari.
